Viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Allen Funeral home, Beaufort. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Baptist Church Bethesda Temple, St. Helena Island with burial in the Tom Fripp Cemetery. Mr. Lynard was born December 16, 1941, on St. Helena Island, a son of Louis Singleton Sr. and Martha Lynard Singleton. He graduated from St. Helena High School and was a longshoreman and carpenter's assistant. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Singleton. Survivors include his mother; a daughter, Betty A. Hugue of St. Helena Island; a son, Ssg. David A. Lynard of Fort Benning, Ga.; two sisters Fredericka S. Pope and Florence S.
