Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the First Church of the Brethren in Newburn, Va. Burial directed by the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MCKENZIE FUNERAL HOME, will be private. Mrs. Lestern was born May 22, 1940, in Dickerson County, Va., a daughter of the Joseph Wayne Swindall and Zella G. Beverly Swindall. She was educated in the Dickerson County School District, a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are, two daughters, Diana L. Lester of Georgetown; and Jessica L. Lestern of Chandler, Ariz.; two sisters, Marlene Parks of Floyd County, Va.; and Hazel Irene Sisk of Pulask County, Va.; two grandchildren, Rodney Flinchum and Rebecca Flinchum, both of Georgetown.
