Rentz Lemacks, a Charleston native, passed away Tuesday evening. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 29, 2001, at 2 o'clock in Bethany United Methodist Church of James Island. Entombment will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church of James Island, 1853 Maybank Hwy., Charleston, S.C. 29412, or to a charity of one's choice. Friends may call at JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening. He was born March 4, 1933, in Walterboro, S.C., a son of the late Arthur E. Lemacks, Sr., and Lillian Cone Lemacks. He was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and the University of South Carolina . He was a 33 year employee of Lockheed Missile and Space Corporation. He worked mainly at the Charleston Area Base and did a special projects tour in Helensborough, Scotland. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted member and treasurer of Bethany United Methodist Church of James Island. He is survived by, his wife of 42 years, Betty L. Rentz Lemacks of Charleston; three daughters and son-in-law, Karen A. Lemacks of Mt. Pleasant, Lisa and Stephen Lang of Charlotte, N.C., Lynett R. Lemacks of Mt. Pleasant; two grandsons, Dylan and Brice Lang of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Arthur E. Lemacks, Jr., of Charleston. Arrangements by JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, 303 SOUTH MAIN ST., SUMMERVILLE, S.C.
