KUGLEY, Eugene
Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 24, 2001, Eugene 
Earl Kugley, husband of Elizabeth Dorothy Griffin Kugley, residence, 
Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene 
Earle Kugley are invited to attend the funeral services of the former,
Friday, July 27, 2001, at 12 noon in Citadel Square Baptist Church. 
Entombment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY 
STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Thursday between 5 and 7 o'clock. Mr. 
Kugley was born November 9, 1918, in Charleston, S.C., the son of 
Henry A. Kugley and Maude Kenemore Kugley. He was a faithful member 
of Citadel Square Baptist Church. A resident of Walterboro, S.C., from 
1947 to 1964, he was ordained as a Deacon with the First Baptist Church
of Walterboro. Mr. Kugley retired after 44 years of service with Exxon 
Corporation and was past President of Charleston Exxon Annuitants Club.
He was a 50-year member of Solomon's Lodge #1 AFM and past president 
of Walterboro Lion Club. He served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II.
He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Dorothy 
Kugley Drawdy of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Douglas D. Kugley of 
Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kugley Powers Williams,
John Thomas Drawdy, Jr., Douglas D. Kugley, Jr., and Katherine K. 
Walker; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry "Harry" A. Kugley, 
Jr., of Charleston, S.C. He is predeceased by his son, Eugene Earle 
Kugley, Jr. Memorials may be made to Citadel Square Baptist Church, 
328 Meeting St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.  (The Post and Courier July
