Kozlowski, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at a Murrells Inlet healthcare facility.Memorial service will be 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at the St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, S.C. A private burial will be at a later date in the National Cemetery in Florence, S.C., directed by Georgetown Chapel of MCKENZIE FUNERAL HOME. Mrs. Kozlowski was born May 10, 1925, in Jersey City, N.J., a daughter of the late Anthony Brzozowski and Victoria Brzozowski. She lived in New Jersey most of her life. She and her husband retired to Florida in 1983 and settled in Summerville, S.C., in 1986. She was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church, supporting many missions and charitable causes. She was a past president of the local chapters of the PTA, Business and Professional Women's Club, the Women of the Moose, and Avon Representative, a Tupperware Salesperson, and a licensed Realtor. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, a good neighbor, a caring friend, and known as a bit of a comedian. She had a great love and special compassion for children.Surviving are, one son, Don Stanley Thomas and his wife, the Honorable Paula Hinson Thomas , of Pawleys; one grandson, J. Austin Thomas; and two granddaughters, Kristen Lee Thomas and Kelly Ann Thomas, all of Pawleys Island. Numerous nieces and nephews in New Jersey and Florida Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, School Buildling Fund, 572 Cypress Ave., Garden City, S.C. 29576.
