Shirley J. McPherson (Rev. Samuel), William, Jr. (Betty), Earl (Ann), 
Bernard (Michell), Robert (Tonya), Samuel (Brenda) and Ernest Johnson 
(Connie), brother of Mrs. Beatrice Powells of Bronx, N.Y. Funeral

The relatives and friends of Mr. William Johnson, Sr., of 928 Main 
St., Ashleyville, those of his wife, Mrs. Luevinia M. Johnson; 
children, Rev. Cora Lee Toomer (Norwood), Shirley J. McPherson (Rev. 
Samuel), William Jr. (Betty), Earl (Ann), Bernard (Connie), sister, 
Mrs. Beattrice Powell of Bronx, NY., 35 grandchildren, 25 
great-grandchildren, 11 great-greatgrandchildren and other relatives 
are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday, July 28, 2001, 
1:00 P.M., in Nichols Chapel A.M.E. Church, 57 Kennedy St., Charleston,
SC. Friends may call at PASLEY'S MORTUARY, 1115 5TH AVE., MARYVILLE, 
571-2300, between 2:00-5:00 p.m., today. Remains to the Church 6pm 
with a Wake Service from 7-8p.m., and Saturday from 12 Noon. Interment,
Community Cemetery, Jacksonboro, SC. (The Post and Courier July 27,
