S.C. He is the beloved father of Mr. Joseph Witherspoon of the Bronx, 
N.Y., and Mr. Xavier Broxton Johnson of North Charleston, S.C., brother

The Relatives and friends of A Mr. Joseph Johnson, and of his children,
Mr. Joseph Witherspoon, and Mr. Xavier Broxton Johnson; his sister, 
Mrs. Annie J. Brown, and his sister, Mrs. Janie Johnson and Mrs. Frona 
Johnson; his nieces, nephews, cousins are invited to attend his funeral
services on Thursday, July 5, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. in Shiloh Seventh-Day 
Adventist Church, 1190 King St., Charleston, SC., with inhumation 
following in Carolina Memorial Garden, North Charleston, SC. Friends 
may call at HARLESTON-BOAGS FUNERAL HOME, INC., from 6:00 until 8:00 
p.m., on Wednesday, July 4, 2001. A quiet hour with family will be 
observed from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are announced by
