Holly Hill - Mood C. Hutto, Jr., 81, of Old State Road, Holly Hill, died Monday morning in an Orangeburg Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2001 in the chapel of AVINGER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 am on Wednesday. Mr. Hutto was born in Holly Hill a son of the late Mood C. Hutto and Esther Murray Hutto. He was graduate of Holly Hill High School. He was a 30-year veteran of the US Navy and Army. He served aboard the USS Boise in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres during World War II, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer as Chief Fire Control. Man. He was a member of the Holly Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving are his brother, R. Wyman Hutto of Holly Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.
