Howard, widower of Doris Stombaugh Howard, residence, Goose Creek, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, July 6, 2001, at 2 o'clock. Entombment, Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Howard was born in Upper Yoder, Pa., on September 5, 1919, the son of Edith Lape Howard. He was a retired salesman with Sears and a member of Goose Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. He was an active volunteer with "Helping Hands of Goose Creek." Surviving are two daughters, Bonny L. Howard of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Judy A. King of Hanahan, S.C.; two sons, Jay R. Howard of Greenville, S.C., and James E. Howard of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Betty Roper of Bedford, Pa.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
