"Rich" Hooven, 59, Regional Manager Charleston Area for Mantech Technology, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at his home in Goose Creek. Born January 21, 1942, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of Don Hooven, Jr., and Marie Steepleday Hooven. Mr. Hooven, who was a former resident of Virginia Beach, Va., was an avid golfer. He served in the U.S. Army and was also a Mason. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Brenda; three daughters, Carla Hoove, Eilliott City, Md., Tonya and her husband Tom Nash, Harrisonburg, Va., and Heidi Mobley, Columbia, Md.; three step-children, Glenda and her husband Jerry Smith, Hazard, Ky., Larry and his wife Cindy Williams, Lake Wales, Fla., and Dawn and her husband John Bailey, Georgetown, Ky.; his twin brother, Jim B. and his wife Lonna Hooven, Lakeland, Fla.; five grandchildren, Cari, Robby, Luke and Allie Nash, and Beck Mobley; and six step-grandchildren, Jason and Josh Hall, Christina and Nicholas Williams, and Craig and Chris Bailey. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2001, in the chapel of MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. (Hwy. 52), Goose Creek.
