Humbert Holmes 
Humbert Holmes, 81, of Beaufort died Thursday, july 19, 2001, at 
Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home for 
Funerals is in charge. 

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Mr. Humbert Holmes, 81, widower of Cecila H. Holmes, 
a Charleston, S.C., native and resident of Beaufort, S.C., died 
Thursday, July 19, 2001, at a Beaufort hospital.Funeral, 1 p.m., 
Monday, July 23, 2001, at Beaufort New Church of Christ, 909 
Wilmington St., Beaufort. Burial will follow in White Hall Cemetery, 
White Hall, S.C.The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., 
Sunday, in the chapel of Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals, 
1814 Green St., Beaufort.Surviving are, one daughter, Louise Scott of 
Mt. Kisco, N.Y.; six sons, Ernest Holmes, Joseph Holmes, and Horace 
Holmes, all of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., William Holmes and Floyd Heyward, both 
of Charleston, S.C., and Sgt. Maj. Frankie Holmes of Beaufort, S.C.; 
one brother, Leroy Holmes of Charleston, S.C.; ten grandchildren; 14 
great-grandchildren.MARSHEL'S WRIGHT-DONALDSON HOME FOR FUNERALS is in
