Friends may call at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. Mrs. Hirsh was born in Charleston, S.C., January 1, 1958, the daughter of Ernest W. Grimball, Jr., and Margaret Jacques Grimball of Johns Island, S.C. Mrs. Hirsh was a graduate of First Baptist School of Charleston and College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Marine Biology. She worked with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division and with the Medical University of South Carolina and the University of Georgia for many years in scientific research. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Georgia Arabian Horse Association. Survivors include the husband, parents, and one daughter, R. Amanda Harris of Bogart, Ga., one brother, Ernest W. Grimball, III, of James Island, S.C.; one sister, Anne Grimball Minshew of John's Island, S.C., three nephews, Ernest, IV, Becker, and Evan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Trident Area Office, 267 Calhoun St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.
