Farmer E. Farmer Hesse, 76, of Charleston, died Thursday, July 5, in a local hospital. He was born in Charleston to Ernest C. Hesse, Jr., and Mary Farmer Hesse. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Caulder Hesse, four sons, Eugene F. Hesse, Jr., Thomas H. Hesse, Joseph E. Hesse and J. Timothy Hesse, all of Charleston, a sister, Catherine H. White of Manning, S.C., 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. Mr. Hesse graduated from Charleston High and attended the Citadel and served his country as a Marine Combat veteran of W.W.II, and was a life member of the Hibernian Society. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 7, at Live Oak Memorial Gardens .
