(THe Beaufort Gazette July 4, 2001) Christy Diane Hazel Christy Diane Hazel, 36, of the Ann's Point community, Grays Hill, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Horsepond Baptist Church, Grays Hill. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Horsepond Baptist Church with burial in Grays Hill Cemetery. Ms. Hazel was born Sept. 7, 1964, in Beaufort County, a daughter of Herbert and Janie L. Martin Hazel. She was a graduate of Battery Creek High School and was a member of Horsepond Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Green. Surviving are her parents of Grays Hill; a brother, Herbert L. Hazel of Grays Hill; and five sisters, Patricia L. Hazel and Bertha Ann Hazel of Grays Hill, Gloria Jean Williams of Philadelphia, Christine S. Smalls of St. Helena Island, and Deborah Harris of Virginia.
