(The Post and Courier July 29, 2001) GRANT, Louise Louise Grant, 88, of Pineville, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 26, 2001. Ms. Grant was the daughter of the late Saul and Annie King Grant. She was preceded by four children, Mr. Eugene G. Jakes, Mrs. Bernice G. Drayton, Mr. Joseph Grant, Mr. Solomon Grant; one sister, Ms. Willie Mae Grant and two brothers, Mr. Paul Grant and Mr. Silas Grant. Ms. Grant is survived by one son, Mr. Peter Grant, Miami, Fla.; four daughters, Ms. Almeta Grant, Harrisburg, Pa., Mrs. Elaine J. (Thomas) Chavis, Savannah, Ga., Ms. Anna Lee Grant, Ms. Delores Grant, and a granddaughter, Ms. Cheryl Grant, all of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Hankerson, Steelton, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Grant, Jacksonville, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at Mt. Nebo U.M. Church in Pineville, S.C. Interment, Mexico Cemetery, Pineville, S.C.
