CHARLESTON – The funeral for Mrs. Louise O’Donnell Gibson of North Charleston was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15 in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Burial followed in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gibson, 87, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at her home. Born in Chester County, Mrs. Gibson was a daughter of the late James Colvin O’Donnell and Frances Margaret Colvin O’Donnell. She was a member of Charleston Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Jean Gibson Boyer of Summerville; a son, Francis O. “Donnell” Gibson of Ladson; two sisters, Lily Westbrook of Sumter and Virginia Huey of Seneca; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dillard Gibson. Memorials may be made to Charleston Heights Baptist Church.
