A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home located at 607 N. Main St., Nichols, S.C. Born in Orangeburg, Dr. Finger was the son of Morris Finger and Sarah "Sorrell" Pliskin Finger. Having graduated from the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina in 1933, he practiced medicine in Ninety Six and moved to Marion in 1935, continuing to practice medicine. He was founder of Finger Clinic Hospital in 1946. He served in World War II as a Lt. Colonel in the Army Medical Corp. Dr. Finger was past president of Temple Beth Israel. He was very active in the Lions Club and founder and president of Florida-Carolina Land Dev. Co., Carolina-Bahamas Land Dec. Co. and Carolina-Caribbean Corp. Survivors are, his wife, Kathryn Smith Finger, of the home; two sons, Jeremy Morris Finger of Myrtle Beach and Dr. Elliott Ronald Finger of Savannah, Ga.; three daughters, Melony Sorrell Finger of Myrtle Beach, Stephanie Finger White of Granite Falls, N.C., and Daryl Finger Dowding of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Finger Barth and a sister, Esther Finger Addlestone. Memorials may be made to Temple Beth Israel, 316 Part St., Florence, S.C. 29501.
