Young Funeral Home, Yemassee, is in charge. Sam Ferguson Sam "Buck" Ferguson, 88, of Yemassee died Friday, July 1, 2001, in the Oakwood Nursing Center, Walterboro. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the chapel of Young Funeral Home. Mr. Ferguson was born June 9, 1913, in Colleton County and was a son of Joe and Lucy Chisolm Ferguson. He attended local public schools and was employed as a groomer for the Bellmoore Equitation Clubhouse in New York. He was later employed by the Big Survey Plantation in Yemassee and was a landscaper for Wildwood Nursery in Hendersonville. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Survivors include two adopted sons, CSM Harry Ferguson of Columbia and Herbert C. Brown of Yemassee; a sister, Carrie Mae Cuspert of Yemassee; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
