William Buck Elston
William Buck Elston, 69, of Seabrook, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his residence. The family 
will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight in Copeland Funeral Home, Beaufort. Services will be 
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mr. Elston 
was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Chickasha, Okla., a son of Jack Henry and Jessie Matilda Jones Elston.
He was a retired construction engineer and estimator. He was project manager for the recently 
completed renovations at University of South Carolina Beaufort. He was a member of Baptist 
Church of Beaufort where he had served as an usher. Surviving are two sons, William B. Elston 
Jr. of Seabrook and Matthew Elston of Coral Gables, Fla.; a daughter, Elizabeth Elston of 
Seabrook; a brother, James R. Elston of Chickasha. The family suggests those who wish may make 
memorial contributions to Palmetto Health Hospice, P.O. Box 1857, Bluffton, SC 29910.
