Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Johnson officiating. Burial will follow Holly Hill Cemetery in Baltimore. Mr. Dixon, 83, died Sunday, July 22, 2001 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Rev. Sumter Dixon and Sarah Hinton Dixon. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where he was affiliated with the Bus ministry. He was a former member of Friendship Baptist Church in Chester and attended the public schools of Chester. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy McCleave of Baltimore; one brother, J.T. Dixon of Chester; three sisters, Rosa Lee Wylie and Louise Williams, both of Chester, and Fannie Mae Clowny of Lincoln, N.J.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
