The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland. The funeral liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Ridgeland, with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. Mrs. Degler was born Aug. 19, 1924, in New Haven, Conn., a daughter of Benjamin and Frances Polizzo Alfano. She was a homemaker and co-owner of C.W. Degler Septic Tank Servcies. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Pinckney Colony, Bluffton. She and her husband celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary June 26. Surviving are her husband of Ridgeland; two sons, Charles W. Degler Jr. and Ronald J. Degler Sr. of Ridgeland; a daughter, Marie F. Degler of Ridgeland; a brother, Liborio Alfano of North Branford, Conn; a sister, Josephine Matter of New Haven; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ridgeland Cemetery Fund, P.O.
