Curtis, 80 CAMDEN – The funeral for Mr. Forest Clarence Curtis of 2023 Kershaw Hwy., Camden, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Friendship Baptist Church in Lugoff with the Rev. Matthew Galloway officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls with Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Curtis, 80, died Monday, July 23, 2001 at Kershaw County Hospital in Camden. Born on Feb. 6, 1921 in Warren, Pa. he was a son of the late Clarence Curtis and Florence Curtis. A graduate from the schools of Pennsylvania, Mr. Curtis retired from the U.S. Army having served in World War II, Korea and twice in Vietnam. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Lugoff. Survivors include his wife, Clennie Ellison Ellis Curtis; a step-son, Gary Ellis of Camden; a brother, James Curtis of Warren, Pa.; two sisters, Nancy Pierce of Warren, Pa. and Pat Gorman of Bakersfield, Calif. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 100, Lugoff, S.C. 29078 or the American Heart Fund of South Carolina, P.O. Box 23128, Columbia, S.C. 29224.
