Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday from Cedardale Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Fray offficiating. Interment will be directed by COX-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME. Mrs. Creighton was born June 4, 1923 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Ernest Gary Edwards and Isabelle Workman Edwards. She was a retired schoolteacher, a member of the Celia Perritt Circle of Macedonia and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband of Mullins, are a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin L. Creighton and skaren T. Creighton of Myrtle Beach; 2 sisters, Frances E. McMillan of Myrtle Beach; and Pauline E. Buck of Isle of Palms. Mrs. Creighton was predeceased by 2 sons, John Thomas Creighton, Jr. and Gary Edwards Creighton. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7:00 pm Tuesday, at COX-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME. There will be no visitation at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 301 East 7th St., Suite 202, Charlotte, NC 28202.
