  CHARPIA, Demoris
Demoris D. Drawdy, 81, of Summerville, died July 2, 2001, at a 
Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be held at Boone Hill United
Methodist, Wednesday morning, July 4, 2001, at 11 o'clock. Burial will 
be in Summerville Cemetery. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home from
6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening. Flowers accepted or memorials to Boone 
Hill UMC, 801 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, S.C. 29483, or the American
Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, N. Charleston, S.C. 29406.
Mrs. Charpia was born June 25, 1919, in Orangeburg County, a daughter 
of the late Oren B. Drawdy and Alice Garrick Drawdy. She was a homemaker
and a member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church. Arrangements by

Survivors include four sons, Earl K. Charpia, Jr., George R. Charpia, 
Royce B. Charpia, and John E. Charpia, all of Summerville, S.C., two 
daughters, Patricia C. Greeson of Alexandria, Va., and S. Lynn Gaunt 
of Richmond, Va., two sisters, Lizzie Bunch and Ruth Alger, both of 
Summerville, S.C., eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
