Cave, 88, of 110 Pine St., died Friday at Colleton Medical Center.Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Posey Belcher and Dr. Steven Brown. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery, directed by the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.Mr. Cave was born in Olar, SC, a son of the late Minnie Bennett Cave and William Thomas Cave. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church for 61 years, serving as church secretary and a life Deacon. Mr. Cave graduated from Carlisle Military Academy and Draughn's Business School. He retired from Life of Georgia. He was past president of The Lion's Club and a Master Mason of Unity Lodge #55 A.F.M. Mr. Cave was the First appointed board member of the Colleton County Recreation Commission. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Rivers Bridge Camp #842, where he was a "Real Son", as his father, William Thomas Cave, served in the war between the states.Surviving are: his wife of 65 years, Louise Morris Cave, sons and spouses, Billy and Nancy Cave of Georgetown, Morris and Cinda Cave of Mt. Pleasant, Bob and Toni Cave of Columbia; grandchildren, Bennett Rich of Charlotte, NC, Scott Cave of Summerville Brian Cave of New York, N.Y., David Cave of Mt. Pleasant and Patrick Cave of Columbia and four great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 650, Walterboro, SC 29488.Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
