Jennett Mabel Prosser Carter 
Jennett Mabel Prosser Carter, 83, of Beaufort, widow of Raymond Carter, 
died July 19, 2001, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will 
receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight in Anderson Funeral Home. Services 
will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with burial in Beaufort
Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Carter was born July 29, 1917, in Prospect, a 
daughter of John Henry Cephus Prosser and Lee Gray Prosser. She was a 
homemaker and a former resident of Spanish Trace Apartments. She was 
preceded in death by her first husband, E.N. Stone. Survivors include 
two daughters, Lee I. Dilsaver of Beaufort and Harriet Stone-Gabbard; 
five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests 
that those who wish may make memorials to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 
1110 13th St., Port Royal, SC 29935. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge.
