Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 5, 2001, at 9 o'clock in St. John the Beloved Catholic Church of Summerville. Rite of Committal with Final Commendation will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, S.C. 29406. Friends may call JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, from 5 until 8 o'clock this evening where a Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 o'clock. He was born October 23, 1924, in Bronx, N.Y., a son of the late Edward Michael Burke and Rose Cassidy Burke. He was a graduate of Bronx, N.Y., schools. He was the chief of maintenance for the Mineola School District, Long Island, N.Y. He served in the United States Army during W.W.II. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Elmont, N.Y. He is survived by, his loving wife, Victoria Ann Burke of Ladson; loving daughter, Christine DiRenzo of Summerville; loving children, Stephanie DiRenzo, Christopher DiRenzo, Jordan DiRenzo of Summerville; brother, John Burke of Florida; sister, Rose Salisbury of Michigan.
