Zion Church in Edgemoor with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating, and the Revs. R. Adams and J.W. Threatt assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Buckson, 90, died Saturday, July 14, 2001 at Rehab and Nursing Center in Monroe, N.C. Born in Chester County on Jan. 1, 1911, she was a daughter of the late James Howze and Hattie Wylie Howze. She was the widow of Dotson Buckson. She was a member of Red Oak A.M.E. Zion Church and was a former usher of the church. She was a member of A.P. & B Lodge No. 13 and was a retired domestic worker . Survivors are one daughter, Johnnie Mae Howze Breveard of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two sisters, Willie Bell White and Helen Ruth McCorkle of Rock Hill; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the residence of David and Willie Bell White, 251 Roddey St., Rock Hill, and Morris and Helen R. McCorkle, 368 Pendleton St., Rock Hill. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. today; the viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kings Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.
