Larry Arnold Buchanan, 56, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., died Friday, June 29,
2001, in a Charleston hospital after a lengthy illness. Private 
services have been arranged at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT 
CHAPEL.A native of Marion, N.C., he was the son of Maude Byrd Drum of 
Lincolnton, N.C., and the late Arnold A. Buchanan. He was a retired 
district manager of a trucking company.In addition to his mother, he 
is survived by his wife, Margaret Browne Buchanan and his sons, Bucy 
and Randy Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant, his daughters, Julie Abernathy of 
Newton, N.C., Kelly Buchanan and Marian Buchanan, both of Mt. Pleasant.
He is also survived by two grandsons, Langdon Abernathy and Haden 
Condrey as well as two sisters, Ann Setzer of Lincolnton, N.C., and 
Sherry Buchanan of Morganton, N.C.   (The Post and Courier July 1,
