Mrs. Brown was born in Trio, S.C., a daughter of the late Walter E. Moore, Sr., and Creola Moore Hancock. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and retired after 40 years as manager of the Kingstree office of General Telephone Co. Mrs. Brown was first married to the late Levi McKenzie and as preceded in death by her brother, David W. Moore. She was a member of Kingstree First Baptist Church, the Rainbow Sunday School Class, the Pilot Club, and was a former member of Women of the Moose. Surviving, one son, Robert M. McKenzie of Kingstree; sisters, Joyce M. Lybrand of Marion and Carolyn M. Williams of Kingstree; brother, Walter Everett (W.E.) Moore, Jr., of Kingstree; grandson, Robert Clayton McKenzie of Kingstree; uncle, Charles R. Moore of Kingstree, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, in the Kingstree First Baptist Church, with burial at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
