The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Zion Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ridgeland, with burial in Taylor Cemetery, Ridgeland. Mrs. Brockington was born July 4, 1933, in Ridgeland, a daughter of Clarence and Katie Williams Bolden. She was a professional housekeeper. She was a member of Zion Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ridgeland, where she served on the Usher and Charity boards. Surviving are six sons, Jackie, Robert and Richard Brockington, all of Ridgeland, Pernel Stevenson and Shelly Brockington Jr. of New York City and Jackie Brockington Jr. of Savannah; two daughters, Annette Young and Barbara Brockington of Ridgeland; two brothers, Elder Marion Williams of Burton and Ben Williams of New York City; a sister, Mabel Strobhart of Burton; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. *********************************************************************** NOTICE: Printing the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged, as long as all notices and submitter information is included.
