TITLE: David Breidenbach SOURCE: The Post and Courier, July 24, 2001 SUBMITTED BY: The Post and Courier FORMATTED BY: Kim Grissom, July 2001 *********************************************************************************************** BREIDENBACH, David David Ward Breidenbach, age 49, of Charleston, S.C., died suddenly, Sunday, July 22, 2001, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Charleston. Born in Elmer, N.J., he is the son of Leona (nee Klotz) Pancoast of Newark, Del., and the late Charles H. Breidenbach. A 1969 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School, he served as a missile technician first class in the U.S. Navy for eight years. Mr. Breidenbach had been employed as an electronic metrologist for Robert Bosch Corp., Charleston, S.C., for 20 years before retiring in January of 2000. He had previously been employed as a machinist for Lockheed in Charleston. Following his retirement he had been working as a general contractor. Mr. Breidenbach was devoted to and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his father, Charles H. Breidenbach in 1996, and a sister, Christina Breidenbach Workman in 1990. Surviving are his wife, Ann (nee Dietrich), a daughter, Carrie Ann Breidenbach of Charleston, S.C., a son, Cameron D. Wade of Charleston, S.C., his mother and step-father, Leona and Carlton C. Pancoast of Newark, Del., three brothers, John Quinton of Eillicot City, Md., Michael Anthony of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert Charles of West Greenwich, R.I., a sister, Michelle Ann Lockwood of Newark, Del., ten nieces, five nephews, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, from the H.T. LAYTON & SON HOME FOR FUNERALS, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, N.J., where friends are invited to call one hour prior to services. A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral of Praise in N. Charleston, S.C., at a later date. Interment will be in Woodstown First Baptist Cemetery, Woodstown, N.J. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Breidenbach's memory may be made to the Cathedral Academy, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road, Charleston, S.C. 29420.
