"Betty" Bloomberg, 79, of Charleston, S.C., died Sunday, July 15, 2001, in a local hospital. "Betty" Blomberg, 79, of Charleston died Sunday, July 15, at a local hospital. She was born in Charleston to the late Lance and Maude Holtz Nelson. Mrs. Blomberg was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank Blomberg, a daughter, Diane Murray of St. Charles, Ill., and a granddaughter, Christine Willard of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Building Fund, 5 St. Theresa Dr., Charleston, S.C. 29407.
