 BAMONTE, John
John D. Bamonte, 72, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001 in a 
local hospital. The Mass of Christian Burial will be recited at 10:30 
o'clock Saturday, July 14, 2001 in Christ Our King Catholic Church, Mt.
Pleasant. Friends may call Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 
until 8:00 pm at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL. A vigil and 
wake service will be conducted Friday evening at the funeral home. A 
native of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Benjamin and Mary Cuneo 
Bamonte and a graduate of St. Augustine Diocesan High School in 
Brooklyn, Niagara University and Cornell University School of Law. 
He served as a first lieutenant in US Army Counter Intelligence Corps 
during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bamonte resided in Westchester County, 
New York where he practiced law for 35 years as a partner in the firm 
Reeback & Bamonte. He was a member of the Harbour Club of Charleston, 
former member of Snee Farm Country Club and an avid golfer, gardener, 
and chef. He is survived by his wife Lucietta Fratianni Bamonte and 
his sons, David J. Bamonte of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Stephen A. 
Bamonte of Pleasantville, NY. A brother, Ben Bamonte and a sister, 
Rosalie Raffaele also survive him. Memorials are suggested to The
