Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2001, at 1 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville, S.C. A private interment will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, S.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605, or Palmetto Health Hospice, 1815 Old Trolley Road #109, Summerville, S.C. 29485. Friends may call at JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, from 6 until 8 o'clock this Friday evening. He was born May 8, 1920, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Willis W. Baker and Cora Brown Baker. He was a graduate of West Virginia Schools. He was a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer, Level 3 (CW03) where he served in the Pacific theater during World War II and the Korean War. He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Omar Shrine Temple. He was Methodist. He is survived by, daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and G. Hollis Cone of Wadmalaw Island, S.C.; daughter, Linda L. Baker of Tularosa, N.M.; one sister, Louise Yearsley of Millsboro, Del.; one brother, Teddy Baker of Greenville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Dr. Holley Cone of Wadmalaw Island, S.C., Dr. Courtney Cone of Jacksonville , Fla., and Ashley Clayton Cone of Atlanta, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Spencer Hewitt of Wadmalaw Island, S.C.
