Evelyn B. Andrews
ROANOKE, Va. - Evelyn B. Andres, 84, of The Park Oak Grove, Roanoke, 
died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at her residence. Memorial services will 
be at 2 today in College Evangelical Lutheran Church, Salem, Va. The 
family will receive friends immediately following the service at the 
church. Mrs. Andres was born Aug. 4, 1916, in Logansport, Ind., a 
daughter of Oscar Brandt and Florence Anderson Brandt. A graduate of 
Indiana Business College, she served as an editor at Wright Patterson 
Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio from 1940-1949. She was active for many 
years as a Girl Scout Leader and home room mother. She was preceded in 
death by her husband of 58 years, Robert F. Andres. Surviving are a 
daughter, Dr. Linda Krell; a son, Retired Lt. Col. Paul Andres of 
Beaufort; and six grandchildren. The family suggests that those who 
wish may make memorials to College Evangelical Lutheran Church, 
College Avenue, Salem, VA 24153 or to the charity of one's choice.
