Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2001, at 11 o'clock in St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be private according to Tri-County Cremation Center Summerville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, 3921 St. John's Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Born on December 30, 1921, in Shamokin, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph Dermont and Stephanie Laskowska Dermont. She graduated from the schools of Shamokin, PA. She was a volunteer with Naval Relief. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic. Surviving are; four sons, Michael K. Surface of Irmo, SC, Howard M. Surface of Matthews, NC, Gerald L. Surface of North Charleston, SC and Joseph R. Surface of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Connie S. Rozyczko of North Syracuse, NY, Thomasita Stephanie S.
