Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 5, 2001 at 2 O'Clock in Ridge Baptist Church, Summerville. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. He was a graduate Mullens High School in Mullens, West Virginia. He attended various colleges and universities receiving his Engineering Degree. He was a member of the Summerville Masonic Lodge No.243 and was a Past Patron of Summerville Chapter No.143 Order of Eastern Star. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years, where he was discharged with the rank of Airman E-4. He was a Retired District Supervisor with South Carolina State Highway Department. He was a member of Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Robert R. "Patsy" Shrader Yates of Summerville, SC., 2 daughters & son-in-law, Shari & Patrick O. Poole of Charleston, SC., Karen Suzanne Yates of Summerville, SC., 2 grandchildren, Catherine Elise Poole of Charlelston, SC., Samantha Lynn Poole of Charleston, SC., 4 brothers & sisters-in-law, Ray & Nancy Yates of Augusta, GA, Warren & Annette Yates of Augusta, GA, Jaye & Pat Yates of Augusta, GA., Harold & Barbara Yates of Dothan, AL.
