HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Wednesday evening between six and eight o'clock. Mr. Sikes was born November 27, 1909 in Augusta, GA., the son of Z. Sweeney Sikes and Bessie Joiner Sikes. He was the retired founder, owner and operator of Sikes Radio Company. He served with the Navy and the Merchant Marine Service. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He attended Georgia Tech School of Electrical Engineering. His memberships included a 55 years perfect attendance with the Rotary Club of Charleston and past President; Arion Society; three times Past Master of the Walhalla Masonic Lodge #66; 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason; Honorary member of the German Friendly Society; Life member of Hibernian Society; Shrine Temple; Board Member of Coastal Council Boy Scouts of America since 1948 to present; Former radio operator with Eastern Airlines; Past President of North Charleston Business Men's Association; Charter member of Rotary Club of North Charleston, SC. He is survived by his two sons: John L. Sikes of Hanahan, SC., and Lt. Col. David Sikes USA (Ret.) of Springfield, VA., 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
