The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday, at Russell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private.Mr. Poplin was born August 26, 1911, in Charleston, S.C., a son of David Alexander Poplin, Sr., and Alice Bailey Poplin. He was a member of the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are his wife, Sadie Shaw Seay Poplin of Moncks Corner; two sons, David A. Poplin, III, of Kissimmee, Fla.; Larry E. Poplin of Moncks Corner; daughter, Sandra Carolyn Squires of Bristol, Wisc.; two step-sons, Charles M. Seay, Sr., and Robert S. Seay, both of Summerville; step-daughter, Sadie O'Dell Taylor of Middleburg, Fla.; brother, George A. Poplin of Elloree; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmetto Health Hopsice, P.O. Box 50820, Summerville, S.C. 29485. Mr. Poplin was preceded in death by a daughter , Beverly J. Stark.
