Residence, Goose Creek, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray McElroy are invited to attend the graveside services, with full military honors, of the former on August 2, 2001, at 4 o'clock. Interment, Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, this (Wednesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. Mr. McElroy was born in Clarkston, Wash., on August 8, 1937, the son of John Wesley McElroy and Ellen Bedwell McElroy. He was a graduate of the Grangeville Idaho High School. He was a member of the American Legion, Columbia, S.C., and the Local #135 International Union Elevator Contractors, Charleston, S.C. Mr. McElroy retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class, and worked with Schindler Elevator Company as a mechanic. He also worked with the Northwoods Lowes in the flooring department as a sales associate. Surviving are his wife of Goose Creek, S.C.; two sons, Kenneth Ray McElroy, Jr., of Goose Creek, S.C., and John Eric McElroy of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, John Richard McElroy of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one granddaughter, Kari Lila McElroy, and one grandson, Kyle Christopher McElroy of Goose Creek.
