He was a retired auto mechanic and member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class.Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Louise Oliver Langston of Lake City; two daughters, Jean Langston (Bobby) Burgess and Janice Langston (Mack) Beard, both of Lake City; one son, Donald E. (Kaye) Langston of Scranton; four grandsons, Ray Phelps of Drayton, S.C., Mackie Beard and Cory Langston, both of Lake City, and Donnie Langston of Raleigh, N.C.; three granddaughters, Beth (Spencer) Rogers, Amy (Donny) McGee and Ashley Langston, all of Lake City; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lizzie Ann Bunch of Summerville and Mary Coward of Coward. He was predeceased by a grandson , Freddie Kyle Beard, by two brothers, DeLee Langston and Milber Langston; and by three sisters, Virginia Miles, Essie Shealy and Rosa Dean Jones.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2001, in the Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the Lake City Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves St., Florence, S.C. 29506; or to, Calvary Baptist Church, 320 Carlisle St., Lake City, S.C. 29560.The family will have visitation from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday evening, in the funeral home.BROCKINGTON FUNERAL HOME, LAKE CITY, is in charge.
