(The Post and Courier August 5, 2001) HOLLEMAN, Helen Helen Sahlmann Holleman, 91, of North Charleston, a retired former owner of Holleman Oil Company and former co-owner of Holleman and Sahlmann Firestone Tire Company in North Charleston, died Saturday at a North Charleston nursing home. The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Michael Lutheran Church. Burial, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, will be in Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Holleman was born June 30, 1910, in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of C. John R. Sahlmann and Adeline Kornahrens Sahlmann. She attended Memminger High School. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. A former piano teacher, she had a passion and love for music and art. Surviving are a daughter, Joan H. Brown of Moncks Corner; son, Joseph S. Holleman, III, of Jacksonville, Fla.; son-in-law, Michael A. Brown of Moncks Corner; sister, Mildred S. Koester of Moncks Corner; three grandchildren, Allison B. Tutwiler of Tampa, Fla.; Michael A. Brown, Jr., of Charlotte , N.C., and Laura E. Brown of Moncks Corner; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Monday evening.
