(The Post and Courier August 1, 2001) HOGAN, Thomas Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 30, 2001, Thomas Joseph Hogan, husband of Helen Maloney Hogan. Residence, Folly Beach, SC. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Mr. Hogan was born July 21, 1920 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Thomas A. Hogan and Ellen Mawson Hogan. He was a retired conductor with Seaboard Coastline Railroad. He served with the United States Marine Corps, during W.W.II. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He is survived by his wife of Folly Beach, SC., a son, Bill Hogan and his wife, Beverly of Charleston , SC; two daughters, Betsy A. Hogan of Folly Beach, SC., and Becky LeVasseur and her husband, Rocky of James Island, SC., four grandchildren: Scott Hogan, Jamie Hogan, Julie Rea, Jared Hogan, all of Charleston, SC., three great granddaughters: Bridget Rea, Gracie Hogan and Gabrielle Hogan; one brother: William F. Hogan and one sister : Mary H. Fulton, both of New Jersey; 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
