Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2001 at Beaufort National Cemetery Mr. Biener was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Long Island City, N.Y., a son of Michael Andrew Biener and Christina Marie Ball Biener. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Catholic. He moved to Beaufort in 1984 from Darlington. Survivors include his wife, Othella Biener of Seabrook; a son, Michael Biener of Michigan; two stepsons; Raymond Lanier of Lower Islamorado, Fla., and Robert Lanier of Darlington; two stepdaughters; Cindy Lanier of Charleston and Madison Lanier, both of Darlington; two brothers: John Byner of Los Angeles and Thomas Biener of Van Nuys, Calif.; three sisters, Helen Gustafson of Barberton, Ohio, Christine Cook of North Bellmore, N.Y., and Miriam Stanley of Stanford, Conn.; and five grandchildren. Copeland Funeral Home, Beaufort, is in charge.
