Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 2, 2001, Wanda Ione 
Brown Becknell, wife of Joseph Lawrence Becknell of Charleston, SC. 
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Becknell are invited 
to attend a memorial service to honor her life at 2:00 p.m., on Friday,
August 3rd at the John Wesley United Methodist Church on Highway 17 in 
Charleston. Mrs. Becknell was born in Nappanee, Indiana on November 25,
1927, the daughter of Edwin Brown and Hazel Tobias Brown. She is 
survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Lawrence Becknell; two sons
, Michael Joseph Becknell and Stephen David Becknell of Myrtle Beach; 
a daughter, Sharon Louise Becknell Bertolino of New Orleans, and six 
grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be 
made to the American Lung Association. (The Post and Courier August
