Adams, 70, died Friday, August 3, 2001, at his residence.Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2001, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Steve Counts officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by DUKES-HARLEY FUNERAL HOME. Mr. Adams was born March 9, 1931, in Gibson, N.C., a son of the late Laurin Douglass Adams and Georgie Inabinet Adams. For many years he worked for American Bank and Trust. Mr. Adams retired from Ethel Corp. as a maintenance mechanic. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict . Mr. Adams was a member of Orangeburg Lutheran Church.Survivors include, wife, Louise Cribb Adams, of the home; daughter, Mrs. Karen A. Moody, Orangeburg; granddaughter, Miss Savannah L. Moody, Orangeburg ; a number of nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to the H. Filmore Mabry Center for Cancer at TRMC - 1161 Cook Road, Orangeburg, S.C. 29118, or Orangeburg Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 488, Orangeburg, S.C. 29116.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, August 4, at DUKES-HARLEY FUNERAL HOME.
