A. Medical Center in Columbia. Born in Oconee County he was the widower of Lula Mae Long Vaughn and a son of the late Dock Talmadge and Mary Jane Owens Vaughn. He was a retired textile employee, a U. S. Army World War II veteran. He was a Baptist. Surviving are sons, Harris T. Vaughn of Walhalla, James Murray Vaughn of Winder, Ga., Butler Wayne Vaughn of West Union and Jackie Albert Vaughn of Seneca; brothers, John Vaughn of Pickens and Elbert Vaughn of Walhalla; sister, Lucille Moore of Seneca; and six grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday April 3, 1992 at Stamp Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. James H. Mizzell. Davenport Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Stamp Creek Baptist Church, H. C. 76, Box 66, Salem, S. C. 29676.
