Colie Abbott, died Saturday, September 10, 1988, at her home. Born in Oconee county, she was a daughter of the late William Robert and Lenora Dilworth Cobb. She was a retired teacher in the Oconee County Schools and was a member of Walhalla First Baptist Church, where she was a member of Clark-Elrod Sunday School Class and the Addie Ray Prayer Group. Surviving are her widower; sons, James Robert "Bob" Abbott of Los Altos, Calif., Johnny Abbott of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jimmy Abbott of Walhalla; a daughter, Mrs. George (Mary Louise) Baker of Seneca; brothers, John Frank Cobb of Walhalla and Woodrow W. Cobb of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Mrs. George (Kutsy) McGee of Walhalla; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services were at 11 a. m. Monday at Oconee Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. James H. Mizell. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorials may be made to Walhalla First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 415, Walhalla, SC 29691. Davenport Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
