Keowee Courier August 18, 1981, Raymond H. Reid, Walhalla--Raymond H. Reid, 65, Rt. 1, Walhalla, formerly of Miami, died in Greenville Memorial Hospital early Wednesday morning. Born in Oconee County, son of the late George H. and Stella Morton Reid, he was a retired chief petty officer with the U. S. Coast Guard and was also retired fro the Miami Police Department. His wife, Margaret W. Reid, died this past May 5. He is survived by two step-sons, Larry Watrous of Ansonia, Conn. and Vernon Watrous of Danielson, Conn.; three brothers, John C. (Bob) Reid of Walhalla, Louie Reid of Walhalla and Loyd Reid of Ft. Worth, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Eunice Kelley Bryant of Walhalla. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p. m. at the Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Oconee Unit of the American Cancer Society. Davenport Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
